NHT to host Home It! Expo at Emancipation Park

-

THE NATIONAL Housing Trust (NHT) will host its Home It! Expo tomorrow. The exposition will provide NHT contributors with access to a wide range of NHT housing and mortgage-related services in one central location: Emancipation Park, Kingston.

Self-employed Jamaicans looking to become NHT contributors will also be assisted with the registration process and provided with information on how to access NHT benefits.

Sabrena McDonald-Radcliffe, the NHT’s assistant general manager of advertising, marketing, and sales, said the Home It! campaign is intended to empower Jamaicans with the necessary information about the NHT’s products and benefits to successfully navigate property ownership whether they want to build, buy, or improve their homes.

The campaign, which spans both digital and traditional media, including morning television features and a radio drama, will have its efforts further amplified through the expo.

The event, which is slated to run from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m., forms part of the organisation’s latest thrust to improve mortgage readiness among Jamaicans.

“We’ll be providing very personalised, one-on-one consultations to create more tailored solutions to guide individuals about the property-purchase process, available housing options, NHT financing, as well as other NHT products, like our grants that can make homeownership even that more accessible. All they need to do is bring a valid ID, NIS, TRN, and a source of income to take advantage of the services available,” said McDonald-Radcliffe.

Participants at Friday’s expo will also have the opportunity to engage with other agencies such as the National Land Agency, National Insurance Scheme, Tax Administration Jamaica, Ministry of Health & Wellness, Courts Jamaica, Excelsior Biscuit Company, and Tastee Cheese.
