AccessPlus Debit MasterCard promotions launch

-

THE ‘ ACCESS Di Access + Brawta’ campaign promotion was launched by the Credit Unions of Jamaica and MasterCard on Friday, March 22 at the office of the Jamaica Co-operative Credit Union League (JCCUL) Group. The launch event kicked off an eight-week promotional period that runs from March 22 to May 17 and is authorised under Section 58 (3) of the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act. The AccessPlus© debit Mastercard is being tested in the Bank of Jamaica Fintech regulatory sandbox.

Staff and volunteers of the JCCUL Group, credit union management and staff of the participating credit unions, other stakeholders and members of the media attended the launch. Katrina Grant D’Aguilar, JCCUL group marketing and communication manager, moderated the event. She praised the work of MasterCard and the JCCUL group team in coordinating the campaign promotion and spoke on the campaign mechanics and prizes to be won.

The ‘Access Di Access + Brawta’ campaign promotion aims to increase members’ usage of the AccessPlus Debit MasterCard and to gift them the chance to win ‘brawta’ or prizes based on said usage.

Credit union members of the 15 participating credit unions will gain points based on their card usage and spend by shopping online and at point of sale (POS) machines. The accumulated points afford them the chance to win an iPhone 15, Amazon gift cards valued at US$50 and a grand prize of an all-expense paid trip for two to Cancun, Mexico. In total, the Credit Unions of Jamaica and MasterCard will be gifting eight iPhone 15, 72 Amazon gift cards and an all-expense paid trip for two, with accommodation for five days/four nights; two double suite occupancy and a dedicated bilingual onsite host or virtual concierge.

Each week there will be a draw to select the winners of an iPhone 15 and Amazon gift cards. In the final promotional week, there will be a draw to select the winner of the grand prize all-expense paid trip for two to Cancun, Mexico.
