Tourist at­tacked by croc­o­dile on golf course

ABri­tish tourist was at­tacked by a croc­o­dile as he played a golf shot at a lux­ury re­sort.

Dougie Thom­son is now plan­ning to sue the des­ti­na­tion af­ter be­ing mauled by the 12- foot beast as he geared up to play a shot at the Iberostar Can­cun Golf Club course in Can­cun, Mex­ico, where he was for his friend’s wed­ding.

The 58- year- old man might now re­quire plas­tic surgery on his leg as a re­sult of the at­tack.

He is quoted by the Daily Mir­ror news­pa­per as say­ing: “My leg is a com­plete mess. Sur­geons had to sew up the mus­cle and I have two tubes in.

“The doc­tors said I will have to think about get­ting plas­tic surgery.”

How­ever, the course re­fuses to ac­cept the blame for Dougie’s in­jury and in­sist they pro­vided warn­ings about the “unique char­ac­ter­is­tics” of the course.
