St James man found with sus­pect pa­pers

ASt James man, re­port­edly held with pa­pers con­tain­ing over­seas con­tact in­for­ma­tion dur­ing a po­lice raid at his home, will have his case men­tioned on Jan­uary 16 next year, in the Mon­tego Bay Res­i­dent Mag­is­trate’s Court.

Twenty- six- year- old Ri­cardo Pusey, of a Bogue ad­dress in Mon­tego Bay, and charged in con­nec­tion with con­duct­ing fraud­u­lent trans­ac­tions, was given the re­turn date when he ap­peared in court, as the pros­e­cu­tion’s case- file was in­com­plete.

Al­le­ga­tions are that, on Au­gust 24, at ap­prox­i­mately 5: 30 a. m., a po­lice team act­ing on in­for­ma­tion went to Pusey’s house and con­ducted a search of the dwelling.

Dur­ing the search, three sheets of pa­per with over­seas iden­ti­fi­ca­tion and con­tact in­for­ma­tion were found in a chestof- draw­ers, and Pusey was ar­rested.

“Is the file in a state of readi­ness?” Res­i­dent Mag­is­trate Carolyn Tie asked Clerk of the Court Regi­nald Eng­land when the case was men­tioned yes­ter­day.

“The foren­sic cer­tifi­cate is still out­stand­ing. We are ask­ing for an­other two weeks ( to com­plete the file,” Eng­land replied.

RM Tie sub­se­quently ex­tended Pusey’s bail to Jan­uary 16, 2014.
