Konshens joins LIME Christmas Mission

- DAVINA HENRY

Telecommunications group LIME will be taking the spirit of Christmas across the island with the new LIME Christmas Mission campaign.

The campaign features reggae/ dancehall superstar Konshens alongside up- and- coming artiste Tosh, who will release the brand new video for What a Time – the official song of the campaign.

The video, produced by LIME, will premiere via a 15- minute special, and will be aired on both CVM and TVJ at 8: 30 p. m.

When contacted, Konshens told THE WEEKEND STAR that the concept of the video is a romantic one.

“The concept is a happy, sexy blend, party vibe. Man and woman link up with myself and the featured artiste Tosh. It’s a very romantic set- up which is actually very

much like me!!! I’m also showing off our beautiful Jamaica, from the people to the scenery to the music,” Konshens said.

He added that his fans have been reacting positively to the project. “They love it so far, and I’m very happy to be doing a project with LIME, especially one such as this where they will basically be giving away free money to their customers. I wish I was handing out all the cheques,” he said jokingly.

Though he is a seasoned performer with myriad of fans, Konshens also heaped praises on newcomer Tosh.

“Tosh is a very sexy, bright eyed, happy girl and she can sing way beyond what this song required of her. She knows her stuff and she neva tek di whole day to get two likkle lines. I definitely think she’s one to look out for and I’ll be doing more work with her,” he said.

In the meantime, fans of the artiste can stay tuned for more new music in the up- and- coming weeks. “Just keep your ears open. Everybody knows I have no brakes when it comes on to music production and that’s a blessing and a curse.”

The LIME Christmas Mission will invade downtown Kingston today for an all- day take over including cash giveaways, celebrity appearance, top selectors and much more.

Since its November 1 launch, the LIME Christmas Mission promotion has awarded over $ 1.5 million in cash to its customers and lucky members of the public.

According to Carlo Redwood, VP Marketing, the giveaways are LIME’s way of saying thank you to its customers.

“We already give our customers so much value throughout the year, we wanted to find a way to give back something that we know they would find useful and would help make the Christmas season a bit brighter,” Redwood explained.

“A lot of fun and excitement can be expected from us from now until Christmas Eve as we take our Christmas mission across the island. We have a number of artistes, our LIME Dancers, DJ’s and of course endless money giveaways lined up,” he further disclosed.

DOWNTOWN EVENT

Throughout the festive season, the LIME team will be hitting the road and making stops in major town centres and communities across the island. The downtown event is the first of the stops. Major roadshows featuring popular dancehall artiste Konshens and other acts are also planned.

The LIME Christmas Mission promotion will see LIME customers challenged to win as much cash as they can. The promotion offers $ 100,000 each day, with two lucky customers being selected to win $ 50,000 each until December 24. Five lucky customers will also get a chance to win up to $ 1 million each as grand prize winners.

LIME prepaid customers who top up with $ 200 or more will automatically be entered into the draw as will post- paid customers who talk for 10 minutes or more.
