Home-grown gospel favourites Kevin Downswell, DJ Nicholas, Prodigal Son and George Nooks are all down to perform at the AIM Financial Corporation First Fest set for January 2 at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre.

The gospel festival will also see the return of American celebrity pastor, Deitrick Haddon, who will headline the festival that will also feature electrifying performances from the likes of Jabez, Joan Flemmings, Sister Patt, Keesa Peart, Reverend Glen Graham and Carey Sayles.

Haddon returns after his summer performance at Fort Clarence Beach was aborted due to the threat posed to Jamaica by Hurricane Matthew.

Promoter Markland Edwards, the CEO of Action Entertainment, said with the line-up now set, and everything is falling into place for them to kickoff the New Year with much spiritual uplifting.

“After two years of planning, we had to make sure that the festival returned with a powerful concept, message and ministry,” Edwards said.

“First Fest 2014 was massive, but for 2017, we wanted to provide an event that would set the bar for the gospel community in Jamaica. AIM First Fest will have a new look in a secure and professional venue with ample parking and international appeal. And this year, we will also incorporate a kids’ hub along with the live performances, making the event one that the entire family can come out to enjoy.”

He said his company, Action Entertainment, is known to stage God-centred events suited for all audiences and that patrons can expect powerful ministry, deliverance, fun, food, wholesome entertainment, free Wi-Fi, games and giveaways all day.

Tickets, Edwards said, can be purchased from any Bill Express location islandwide and urged patrons to get their tickets early.

“We want each patron to have a memorable experience at AIM First Fest 2017, and leave feeling empowered to tackle a new year,” he said.
