My wife wants me to die “

-

Dear Pastor, I have been married for more than 20 years and I am having problems. I am having a hard time with my wife. She is having an affair with a young boy. I had to run from my house because I did not want to get into a fight with her.

I used to fret and worry over my situation until I got a stroke. I am now at home starving, while my wife is supporting the young man out of our investments. She says that she is going to obeah me and kill me.

I am having life very hard. We are still married. I don’t know what to do. Right now, I am very hungry.

W. Dear W., I regret hearing that you are not well and that you are hungry. I know the area where you say you are living. The people in that area are very helpful. If t hey know t hat you were hungry, they would surely assist you and bring you food. My understanding from you is that you attend a certain church. You should make the pastor aware t hat you are hungry.

It is unfortunate that your wife is having an affair with a younger man and supporting him with proceeds from your investments. You belong to a certain church that I have not mentioned. You should let the minister know what you are going through. I am sure that he and the members of the church, especially the brotherhood, would help you. You do not need just food. You need medical attention.

I do not expect your wife to assist you because both of you are now separated and, according to your letter, her desire is that you would die.
