Kabbalist set to release new projects in 2017

-

New York-based reggae singer Kabbalist is in an upbeat mood as he prepares to release his new single titled ‘Rude Boy’. The song, which was produced by the late veteran producer Phillip Smart, will be released on the Bamboo Music label in January 2017.

“This song is hot. I leaked it to radio stations about a week ago and the feedback I’m getting is great,” he said. “A lot of deejays have already added it to their playlists. By the time it’s officially released, it will be playing all over Europe, the US, Canada, Africa and the Caribbean.”

In addition to the new single, Kabbalist is also set to release an EP, titled Rumours, in the first quarter of the new year. The EP, which is named after his current single, will feature some of his most popular songs, including Rumours, Down in Jamaica and Catwalk, along with several new songs.

“I’m very excited about this EP. It’s been in the works for a while now and I’ve compiled some of my best works for this project,” he told THE WEEKEND STAR.

Kabbalist is also booked to perform at the Little Ochi Seafood Restaurant New Year’s celebration in Alligator Pond, St Elizabeth, on December 31.

“I’m looking forward to this performance. I don’t get to perform in Jamaica a lot because of my hectic schedule, but whenever I get the chance to do so, I always do my best to please my fans at home,” he said.

During his visit to the island, Kabbalist is also scheduled to shoot music videos for Rumours and Rude Boy.
