COLEMAN HOPES NEW SINGLE WILL EMPOWER WOMEN
Recording artiste Dadre Coleman is promoting a brand new single titled ‘Long Legs’. The sinjay, who raised eyebrows with her dance single, Designer Wine, in 2016, believes Long Legs will take her career to even higher heights.
“I came up with the concept for the song, but it was mainly written by David McFarlane and a few other guys that were in the studio at the time, including my label mate, Federal,” she said.
Coleman said the song was created to celebrate feminine beauty as well as to evoke a sense of pride, especially for females who might be troubled with selfesteem issues.
“Before writing the song, David asked me to give him some of the things that guys mostly compliment me about, and that’s how Long Legs came about,” she explained.
Coleman said the song is to let women know that they should be proud of who they are and how God made them.
“We are living in a world right now where people are so caught up in vanity, material things and falseness that they lose sight of the fact that they have life,” she said.
Coleman reasoned that if you are not happy with yourself, it will be hard for you to make somebody else happy.
“Even though the content was inspired by my experience, it is also a record of empowerment,” Coleman said.
The single is already receiving rotation in England and the United States. Her management team will also release an accompanying music video in coming months.
“I have not given up on promoting Designer Wine either because I still believe it has a long way to go; however, it’s a new year and, therefore, the fans need new material, which is why I decided to release Long Legs at this time,” she said.
