Pregnant for my ex-boyfriend

-

Dear Pastor, I am 17 years old and I am pregnant. The guy I am having sex with is my ex-boyfriend. Although he has a girlfriend, we still make time for each other. I love him with all my heart, but he told me that he does not think that we will ever get back together. I went to Jamaica and I had sex with two other guys, but they used condoms. When I came back to Canada I saw my period. I also told him that I had sex in Jamaica. A week after I came back, I went to his house. We had sex. I did not want to do that, but we did it anyway. Later, I realised that I had not seen my period, but I thought that was caused by stress, so I did not mention it to him. However, another month passed.

I took a pregnancy test and it was positive. I told him about this and he got upset, telling me that he used a condom and that there is no way it could be his.

We argued that day, and he told me that he will be there for me. Whenever we talk, and I say anything about being pregnant, he gets upset and does not want to talk to me. If I try calling him, he does not answer his phone. What do you think I should do? K.T. Dear K. T. First, I would suggest that you tell your parents or guardian that you have missed your period and that you have found out that you are pregnant. Tell them the name of the young man and that you have told him about your pregnancy, but he has not been cooperating. Please, please, let them know the truth. They need to know that he his living with his girlfriend.

I am sure that your parents or guardian will want to contact him and encourage him to give you the financial and moral support that you need.

I hope that he will not deny that he impregnated you. If he is not willing to give you support now, they will encourage you, I am sure, to do a paternity test after the baby is born.

Before I go, let me say to you that you are too easy to get. You are very promiscuous and you need to stop giving away your ‘precious thing’ to Tom, Dick, Harry and anybody that the devil sends your way.

Pastor
