Downswell shares the Gospel at Christmas
It wasn’t your usual Wednesday afternoon at the Half Way-Tree Branch of JN Bank, as customers were treated to a lunchhour concert, featuring Kevin Downswell, gospel artiste and JN Group brand ambassador.
The usually quiet and businesslike atmosphere in the banking hall was quickly transformed into a worship hall, as the joyful shouts of “hallelujah” and other sounds of praise filled the air.
Downswell thrilled patrons with his soul stirring favourites, such as Stronger, If it’s Not You, and Nah Bow.
JN staff and customers danced and sang along to the performance.
Downswell captivated the young and the elderly, as he interacted with the patrons, who were eager to shake his hand, share a hug, or snap a selfie.
He also took time out to sign copies of JN Bank’s 2018 calendar for patrons.
For Karitta Solomon, a JN customer for more than 30 years, the concert was “a pleasant and refreshing experience.”
“I was especially excited to meet Kevin and to have him sign my new JN Bank calendar. I’m a big fan of Kevin Downswell. I was blessed by this concert,” she maintained.
Claudine Allen, executive, member relations and quality assurance at Jamaica National Group, said the lunch hour concert was part of the customer appreciation day activities, held in JN branches and MoneyShop locations across the country.
“This was one small way through which the JN Group could give back to and celebrate with the members of our JN Family. We wanted to let them know we care about them and appreciated their support during the year as we transitioned from the former Jamaica National Building Society and emerged as JN Bank,” she said.
