Team Spice looks ahead to 2018

- SIMONE MORGAN-LINDO STAR Writer

It has been three years since Keticia ‘TC’ Chatman, Christina ‘Rebel’ Nelson and Jahnoia ‘Danger’ Christie became members of the dance group, #TeamSpice. Although they have been dancing for several years, the trio is best known for complementing the performances of female dancehall artiste Spice.

As yet another year draws to a close, #TeamSpice has been reflecting on their journey.

“We all love our boss. Our relationship with her is more like sisters. We create a bond that we think can never be broken. Naturally, Spice has a strong influence and anything she touches turns to gold. She is a motivator who encourages us to do our best not only in dancing, but whatever we put our minds to,” Danger told THE STAR.

TC said she became a member of the team after meeting Spice at a recording studio and expressed her desire to be on her payroll.

“I heard she needed another dancer and it was there and then that she laid out the rules and regulations of the team, and the rest is history,” she said.

All three dancers have individual dancing careers, but it rarely ever affects their ability to travel the world with Spice.

“Sometimes we have to multitask, so sometimes there are little glitches, but we often work through it and make magic happen,” Rebel said.

As a new year approaches, #TeamSpice said there will be no slowing down.

“Our boss, Grace Hamilton, is always a head of everything so, naturally, there is a lot in store. Myself and the rest of the girls will continue to build a platform for dancers as it relates to marketing and all,” TC said.
