100 Live delivers grand finale
It was 100 per cent good vibes and good music at the grand finale of 100 Live on Wednesday.
An exciting entertainment package was promised, and that was exactly what patrons got.
Although the show got off to a very late start, there was never a dull moment once the onstage action got under way.
Each act delivered a professional set, and all were well received by the audience.
Tosh Alexander was the night’s opening act and did well to get the momentum going. The upand-coming female artiste’s outfit caught the attention of the entire crowd.
Her choreographed dance routines were just as coordinated as her outfit. She delivered songs such as At Your Best, Ready fi Dem, and 911, her collaboration with Ky-Mani Marley.
Bringing even more positive vibrations, D Burnz delivered a very interactive, energetic set.
Performing songs like Run Babylon, Stress Mi and Bet Yuh Never Know, D Burnz had just the right mix of conscious lyrics and songs for the women.
Chi Ching Ching and Ding Dong followed, and both artistes injected dancing into the show and had patrons moving as they followed their every instruction.
Ching was first, and with his three dancers, he had the venue doing the Breadfruit, Watchiwiya, Rock Di Worl, and his new dance, Rope.
Ding Dong had patrons fully captivated as they tried to match him and his dancer move for move.
Dance songs such as Shampoo, Lebeh Lebeh, Flairy, and Syvah had the crowd in a frenzy. The entertainer kicked things up a notch by going into the crowd and engaging the audience, getting some visitors involved as he carried out his performance.
Bounty Killer and Sizzla followed, and in their usual style, they took things to another level.
Bounty’s wit had the crowd cracking up at intervals as he addressed issues such as oral sex, corruption, and the affairs of the country’s poor and needy. Sizzla was the night’s closing act.
He ended the show on a fiery high some minutes after 2 a.m., having performed a slew of hits from his extensive catalogue, including Solid as a Rock, Rise to the Occasion, and Babylon a Listen.
