My mother doesn’t support me

Dear Pastor, I have been reading your column for two years now, and I would like to congratulate you on the good work that you are doing.

I’m 17 years old and I recently graduated from high school. I am now focusing on furthering my career in the skill that I developed in high school.

Pastor, I have come to realise that my mother doesn’t mean me well as it relates to my education.

Over the years, even before I entered high school, I have been saving my lunch money and throwing partner with a trusted source so that when I am out of school, I won’t have to depend on her to send me to university. She is a good mother, but she needs to change her dirty ways.

My father does the same job I want to do, but he hasn’t supported me for some years now. Back to my mother.

I am supposed to start university very soon, so I asked my mother for the Dear F.L., If your mother has used the money, or most of it, she should tell you and make arrangement to give it back.

But, I beg you, don’t go toe to toe with your mother in arguing about how you will get your fees.

She has reminded you that you cannot repay her for what she has done for you since you were born.

She is trying to tell you that you need to shut up, because she has the right to spend the money that you have saved to pursue your education.

While you are attempting to get the money from her, please contact the Students’ Loan Bureau and ascertain how you may get a student loan. Don’t be discouraged at all.

You are a very ambitious young woman and you card to withdraw the money for my school fees. She started to curse me, asking if I can pay her for the 17 years that I have been on Earth.

I know I can’t, but that still doesn’t give her the right to do what she has done to hinder me from my education.

To cut a long story short, she told me that the bank card was lost, so I asked her to replace it. She finds all kinds of excuses.

The last time money was deposited into the account was when I graduated, leaving a balance of $300,000 for my university fee.

Pastor, I never knew that someone could be this wicked to her own daughter. She behaves as if she wants me to go out of the way, which I will not do.

You are the only one I can depend on to advise me how I can go about solving this matter. As you can see, university is not any time soon anymore. Happy holidays. God bless you. F.L. will succeed. Although your father has not been supporting you, after you have talked to the people at the Bureau, inform him and ask him to assist you.
