Discyple takes on ‘Spiritual Warfare’
Budding gospel artiste Discyple says he has a story that many would describe as an extraordinary account of the Almighty’s mercy and power.
The up and coming gospel act told THE WEEKEND STAR that he survived being shot fives times at close range and now leads a life of praise and worship which he said was his only option after being saved from a life of crime and deviant behaviour.

“When god calls you, it’s not an option as to whether or not you are going to answer, you simply must. I believe God spared my life for a reason, and that is to save weary souls for Christ,” Discyple said.
The entertainer is spreading the gospel through his latest single called Spiritual Warfare.
Released during the last quarter of 2017, the track, he said, tackles the crime and violence that is currently blanketing the island.
“It explains the reason behind all of the turmoil that is taking place. This is a spiritual warfare that no politician can solve. This needs divine intervention because what’s going on is far more than the eyes can see,” he said.
Discyple, given name George St Alistair Cousins, hails from Hayes, Clarendon. He Began his music career in 2006 after getting baptised at the Hayes New Testament Church of God.
“Unfortunately I went out of church for a while and was at the wrong place at the wrong time and was shot fives times in a shooting incident in Clarendon in 2014. It was the mercy of God that saved me, and it was then and there that I know that I was going to spend the rest of my days on earth serving the Lord,” he said.
After the near death experience, Discyple said he restarted his musical ministry with a gospel track entitled God Saved Me in which he recounted the incident.
In addition to Spiritual Warfare, he is also promoting other singles such as Give Thanks For Life and Tek It To Dem.
