Central Kgn, C’Spring clash in Jackie Bell KO
Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League outfit Central Kingston FC will take on Major League side Constant Spring FC in today’s feature match in the second round of the JNA/KSAFA Jackie Bell Knockout competition at the Winchester Park.
Central Kingston, who are conditioned by veteran coach Neville ‘Bertis’ Bell, have been having a good season in their league.
They are currently third in Zone B on nine points, with two wins, three draws and one defeat.
Keeble Allen, president of Central Kingston, said that he is expecting a tough encounter from their opponents.
“We are looking forward to this game like any other match,” said Allen. “I think that this is the first time that we will be playing Constant Spring in several years, so it is going to be a very interesting game,” he said.
“The guys’ spirits are high because of the introduction of a new coach, and the players are confident, but we are not going into this game too confident,” Allen said.
CHARGE TO VICTORY
Central Kingston will be depending heavily on the likes of former University of the West Indies player Kemar Cummings, Donovan Alvaranga, Ronaldo Brown and Ronaldo Henry to lead their charge to victory.
On the other hand, Constant Spring are currently fourth in Zone A in the Major League on 10 points, with two wins, four draws, and two defeats.
Constant Spring, who are coached by former national player Wayne Palmer, will rest their hopes in the hands of Rohan Parker, Kemmoy Philips, Ramone Bryant and Everton Ricketts to lead them to victory.
