Vyzadon makes ‘Humble’ strides in music
The community of Trench Town has been a melting pot for talent over the years. Newcomer Vyzadon hopes to continue the trend and to make a name for himself in music circles. His latest single, ‘Humble’, is already making strides and has given the budding deejay some amount of street credibility.
“Humble is based on life experiences, directly and indirectly, meaning it’s not just my story, but it is also the story of others. A lot of individuals can relate [to it] because the message is real,” Vyzadon said.
Humble was produced by Spugy B and released on the Unisyzmuzik/Ubiquemuzya label.
A resident of Fourth Street in Trench Town, Vyzadon’s affection for music began during his high-school years. A former student of Mona High, who later studied at the University of the West Indies (UWI), he hopes to one day make an impact on the international music scene.
“My love for music is second to none, so I did not see myself studying anything else if it’s not about music. I ventured in marketing because it helped me to promote my music using the skills I garnered at UWI,” he said.
“My musical journey has been tough, but with the guidance of my manager, Vivion Whitelock, aka Drew Konneck, we are getting there.”
Vyzadon, whose given name is Prince Shand, has worked with producers, including Orlando Francis, J Small Records and Spugy B. He also has plans to release songs like Mama Nuh Worry (J Smalls Records), Journey (Unisyzmuzik) and Keep On Moving, featuring Puerto Rican artiste Prime Ethnic and Naomi Cowan.
