Marvin, DHQ Nickeisha call it quits?

-

Amere weeks after Marvin the Beast and his spouse, DHQ Nickeisha, assured fans that they were still an item, it seems the couple may have called it quits.

Last month, the pair’s inactivity on social media started rumours of a break-up, but when THE WEEKEND STAR contacted the dancing duo, they said their relationship was still strong, and that their visibility on social media or the lack thereof was as a result of them wanting to dial things back a little.

“We’re still in a relationship, but we’re trying not to make it public like it was before,” Marvin said at the time. “People always talk things, and we were just out there too much. I mean, it worked out for us in terms of our careers because good or bad, that was publicity for us. But it just got too much.”

He added that their decision was also as a result of them trying to shelter their growing children from the negative backlash of social media.

But it was social media that proved to people that the two are no longer an item as both Marvin and Nickeisha seemed to have cleaned up their Instagram accounts. The changes were not to be missed by followers who noticed right away that the two had removed several photos and videos of themselves from their respective pages.

When THE WEEKEND STAR contacted Nickeisha, she said she did not want to talk about M&N (the name the pair gave themselves) and refused to confirm whether she and Marvin had indeed parted ways.

THE WEEKEND STAR was unable to reach Marvin for a comment.

In addition to the Instagram clean-up, both Marvin and Nickeisha have been posting cryptic messages on their pages, messages that allude to them going their separate ways.

BEST DECISION

In a post made just under a week ago, Nickeisha, professing self-love, said that she thinks she has made the best decision of her life. She followed up on that post with another with a caption that read: “It has been said, time heals all wounds”. That post was followed by one where she posted a video of part of Stefflon Don’s song, Hurtin’ Me, with a caption that said: “It’s fine. It’s not hurting me anymore ... thanks to all my fans and day one supporters and my family.”

Shortly after news began circulating about the pair’s split, Marvin, in a post made to his Instagram page, urged people to stay out of his personal life.

“I have a question, this is two person problem or everybody ... Please do not judge, everything start from somewhere,’ part of the post read. “All I’m saying is leave people to work out their own problems. If you know me, you know I’m a builder, not a breaker,” the post continued.
