I-Octane drops new album
“This album is dear to me, since it is the first to be released under my own label. This is my baby project, and I am looking to excite both reggae and dancehall fans with this one,” said I-Octane as he talked about his latest compilation, ‘Love & Life’.
The entertainer recently unveiled the cover art as well as the track listing for his third fulllength album, produced under his own production company, Conquer The Globe Productions. The long-awaited album features 17 tracks, but will also feature two bonus tracks for those who pre-order.
Aside from singles from the Lose A Friend singer, the album will feature collaborations with Shaggy, Ginjah, Demarco, Yanique the Curvy Diva, Romain Virgo, and Grammy-nominated international artiste J Boog.
“There is something for everyone on this album,” I-Octane said.
“I have fans all over the world, and although I wanted to keep true to my roots, I infused their worldwide essence, from Afrobeat to Latin. My fans were with me on this Love & Life journey, and I think they will be as excited as I am when they hear the finished product.”
Music critics who have already sampled the album have labelled it as one of the entertainer’s best projects to date.
One such critic, Danny Creatah, said that the album will take listeners on a musical journey they will appreciate.
“Love & Life takes you on a musical trip through I-Octane’s musical mind, touching the pleasures and struggles of love and life, using a good mix of reggae and dancehall tracks,” he said in his review.
Love & Life will be available worldwide on March 30, and will be distributed by the Californian-based IDC.
