Taylor: Harbour View on a roll

With two games remaining in the regular season of the Red Stripe Premier League, Harbour View FC’s assistant coach, Fabian Taylor, said his side is looking to continue their winning momentum going into the play-offs.

Harbour View will take on Arnett Gardens in their next match at home and are currently sitting in fifth position in the tables.

“We have lost the last two games against them [Arnett Gardens], but I think we can beat them because we have a momentum going on now,” Taylor said.

The Stars of the East won their last three games, beating Boys Town FC 2-1, UWI FC 1-0 and and FC Reno 2-0.

“We are looking forward to playing the last two games like a final because the team is in good spirit,” Taylor said.

Taylor attributes his team’s recent surge to the growth of his young charges, who lost consistently at the beginning of the season.

“At the beginning of the season, they were young so they were taking their time to understand what we were trying to bring across to them. Slowly but surely they have been coming around, and I think we have steadied the ship somewhat now,” Taylor said.

Harbour View FC last won the National Premier League title in 2013 and Taylor believes that their five-year title drought could come to an end this year if they continue their current form. “Our goal at the start of the season was to play in the last game of the season which is the final and the goal remains the same,” Taylor said.
