Symatic off on first overseas tour

-

Dancehall artiste Symatic left the island earlier this week and is set for his first international performance.

Booked for a string of shows in Canada, the singjay is upbeat about the progress of his career.

“It’s a great feeling to know that people from other parts of the world love and support Symatic music. So the feeling is great, and I am anticipating a successful tour,” he said.

The recording artiste also credited Rebel Salute for his latest gig.

“This tour came about when I did a performance at Rebel Salute 2018. Following my performance, I was approached by an overseas-based promoter, who expressed that my performance was impressive,” he said.

He added that he owed much gratitude to the Rebel Salute organisers for giving him the opportunity to perform there and his team at Real Entertainment Production for guidance.

The artiste also noted that his current wave of success should be seen as a testament to other young acts that the ability to perform is a priceless asset to recording artistes.

“We all want that elusive hit record. However, if you don’t have that as yet and your music is good, then your performances can bring you much success in the music industry,” he said. “A lot of reggae artistes are touring the world and are not known in Jamaica, and that is because their performance is good, so people want to see that.” The recording artiste is also looking to film a slew of music videos upon his return to the island.
