FINAL F ... Portmore, Waterhouse

- MARC STAMP STAR Writer

The Red Stripe Premier League (RSPL) final is highly expected to be a mouth-watering clash between Portmore United and Waterhouse on Monday night at the National Stadium at 8:35.

Portmore will be entering their third straight final, after losing to Montego Bay United in 2016 and Arnett Gardens last year. They have been the most consistent team this season and captured the regular season title after dominating the preliminary stage.

They have quality players who have represented Jamaica at junior and senior levels. Their national players such as top marksman Jovan East, Maalique Foster, and Ricardo Morris are expected to get support from captain Ewan ‘Butter’ Grandison, Damano Solomon and Roberto Johnson.

Waterhouse started the season struggling, but have been on the rise, moving from 11th position since Donovan Duckie replaced Glendon ‘Admiral’ Bailey as head coach.

They are in an upbeat mood and hungry to win the title for the technical staff, community and management. National representative Shawn Lawes, Ricardo Thomas and Cardel Benbow are all having a wonderful season, alongside Kemar ‘Bushy’ Beckford,
