Raging Fyah premieres ‘Rebel’ music video

-

Yesterday, Mass Appeal and Boomshots premiered the music video for ‘Rebel’ by Grammy-nominated band Raging Fyah. The video is the first single off their upcoming album, which is slated for release later this year on VP Records/Dub Rockers.

Directed by Nicki Kane, the vibrant video features popular reggae DJ Yaadcore and his son, Streme, who were both featured in Raging Fyah’s Milk and Honey video. The song, produced by Llamar ‘Riff Raff’ Brown and written by Raging Fyah, is an energetic reggae track that shows off the band’s signature sound with new subtle alternative instrumentation, taking their music to new heights.

“This video is all about the youth of tomorrow fighting for their dreams,” said the band. “In the video, you see how the kid has a daily routine, but it doesn’t always consist of what he loves, which is music. So, the moral of the story is that you should always fight to achieve your heart’s desire.”

Along with new music and a new album in the works, the band will also be embarking on the Marching Orders spring tour with Hawaiian rootsreggae band The Green and Iya Terra. Commencing in Austin, Texas, the tour will make stops along the west coast in Corpus Christi, Tucson, Las Vegas, Scottsdale, Ventura and Berkeley, and will close at the Cali Roots Festival in Monterey, California, on May 27.

They will also be performing this summer at Reggae Sumfest in Montego Bay on Saturday, July 21. They recently gave attendees and press a taste of what is to come at the Reggae Sumfest launch in New York City.

Saint International’s Fashion Face 2018 winner, Oshane Flemmings, a mason by profession, had an unexpected earlymorning surprise during his appearance on local television on Thursday — he’s been signed by four modelling agencies in New York, London, Milan and Paris.

The 23-year-old Flemmings, a resident of Old Harbour, St Catherine, whose day job sees him as a manual labourer on construction sites, was given the life-changing revelation by Saint CEO Deiwght Peters during the live broadcast on CVM TV.

The agencies that will now roster the new star are Heroes Model Management in New York, Premier Model Management in London, Why Not Models in Milan and MP Models in Paris.

“I am really overjoyed. This is such great news,” an obviously excited Flemmings said, contemplating the new opportunities that being an internationally signed model will provide, primary of which will be his first time travelling on a plane. “Being given a chance to walk the runways for designers from New York to Paris and do magazine shoots is exciting to me, and I know that I have the potential to make it,” the stunning charcoal-black model said.

Peters revealed that Flemmings approached Saint International in November last year, and he immediately saw “star quality” but advised him that his cornrowed hairdo needed to go. Fast-forward to Saint’s Fashion Face competition in March 2018, with 13 international model agents in attendance, and Flemmings was declared the male face winner from a competitive field of 32 male models.

Peters is confident that Flemmings can join the ranks of such stellar Saint male models as Ralph Lauren campaign models Brad Allen and Brandon Bailey and Nordstrom and Topman campaign model Jonny B in making major moves in the international fashion industry.

“The feedback I have received on Oshane has been nothing short of phenomenal, and we’re eager to get him started internationally,” Peters said.
