Prince Hall speaks of God’s goodness

-

Ocho Rios-based gospel artiste Prince Hall will be launching his debut album, ‘We Believe’, with what he is calling “the concert of a lifetime”.

The launch will take place at the Turtle River Park in Ocho Rios.

Glacia Robinson, who brought the house down during the Christmas season last year with two soul-stirring performances in Mandeville and at the Prison Oval in Spanish Town, will be in action at the launch.

Prince Hall, in speaking about his album, said it is a testimony of God’s goodness.

“There could be no other name for it but We Believe. It is also the name of a foundation I founded for social outreach,” he said.

Among the tracks on the album are I’ll Trust You Lord, Just Like A Wave, Give You All the Glory and the title track, We Believe.

Hall said that the songs are in line with his personal belief.

“Music should be something that every listener benefits from in a positive way. If they are down, by the time they finish listening, they should experience a mood shift,” he said.

Hall, who has been singing for the past 20 years, first came on the gospel radar in 1994 as a part of the singing group Maranatha Singers from the Ocho Rios Seventh-day Adventist Church — a group he remained with for 15 years.

The group made it to the final of the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission Gospel Song Competition finals twice.
