We can’t afford to choke

Magnum/KSAFA Super League enters semis tonight

- MARC STAMP

With three of the four Confederation winners already decided, the Magnum/Kingston and St Andrew Football Association (KSAFA) Super League will take the spotlight tonight with a doubleheader semi-finals at the Constant Spring Complex.

In the first game, Barbican will face Rockfort at 6:30 p.m., while in the feature game, Brown’s Town challenge Molynes United at 8:30 p.m.

Coach of Brown’s Town, Karume Huie, is hoping that his team turn up on the night and win this time around, after losing at the semifinal stage in the last three seasons.

“We are hoping to get the desired result, Sometimes you play good football but the result don’t go your way. I think it is going to be a tough challenge against Molynes United. We have to go out there and play our game, and hope the result go our way,” Huie told STAR Sports yesterday.

FAILED BIDS

“We have some experienced players in the squad who have been at this stage a couple of times. Several of the players have been there in the last two to four seasons. However, it is about performing and winning the game on the day,” he said, wary of the failed bids in the last three seasons.

“Earlier in the season, we played them and drew 0-0, so both teams know each other. We have to go there and put it together,” Huie concluded.

Browns Town’s key players include Tevin Scott, Emelio Russell and Bryan English.
