There appears to be a consensus among coaches in western Jamaica that a Brazilian will walk away from the 2018 wWorld Cup with the Golden Boot award. No Brazilian has won the award since 2002 when Ronaldo emerged the league’s top marksman. Since then, Miroslav Klose (Germany, 2006), Thomas Muller (Germany, 2010) and James Rodriguez (Colombia, 2014) have won the award.
