- SHEREITA GRIZZLE STAR Writer

Dancehall artiste Chan Dizzy says he is working his way back into the music spotlight with a slew of new singles that are steadily gaining traction on the local scene.

The artiste, who gained popularity in 2010 with hit song Hello Badmind, told THE WEEKEND STAR that he is happy with the direction his career is going in, and he is particularly grateful that his fans have remained loyal.

“The street a talk, and it’s nothing but love for Chan Dizzy, which gives me a good feeling. I must say respect and blessings to the deejays, the fans and my team for the loyalty and love. Dizzy a go do it big for everyone,” he said.

Chan Dizzy enjoyed much success in his breakout year. Working with Billboard producer, Rvssian at the time, Dizzy dominated local airwaves with Hello Badmind and Strange Face. The entertainer, admitting that he hadn’t learnt to handle the business side of music during his success period, said that his time away from the spotlight was used to familiarise himself with “music as a business concept”. “Mastering the business aspect of the music industry is a process and one that I have now grasped, which is why I have created Team Chan Dizzy to ensure that all areas are covered,” he explained, pointing out that he wants his music to constantly make an impact. “Sajay Productions ... Trouble Mekka Music/Head Concussion and other producers are doing my music production and working closely on my career. Bloodaz is making sure I am connected to the street, so the team is strong. It’s gonna be problems for 2018.” Chan Dizzy is in studio adding the finishing touches to his EP. He is also promoting his new singles, Fireworks and Careful, both produced by Sajay Productions. The music video for Careful, is said to be in the works and is expected to be released soon.
