- MARC STAMP STAR Writer

Dunbeholden will look for another win against Mount Pleasant Football Academy when the teams clash in a crucial encounter in the Magnum/Charley’s JB/JFF Premier League promotion playoff series at Drax Hall in St Ann, tomorrow at 4 p.m.

The South Central Confederation champion, Dunbeholden lead the race for one of two spots to next season’s Red Stripe Premier League. Dunbeholden are on seven points, ahead of Barbican (five), Mount Pleasant (four), and Wadadah, who are rooted at the bottom without a point after three games apiece.

TOP FLIGHT

With their return round tomorrow, Dunbeholden will hunt maximum points in order to put themselves en route to the nation’s top flight league.

Coach of Dunbeholden Michael ‘Richie’ Cohen believes that despite playing away, his team will be mentally prepared for a hostile environment.

“We are against the odds, going there against a team that is financially stable. Mount Pleasant are in a good place and playing in front of their home support,” Cohen told STAR Sports yesterday.

“We are a unit and will continue to play to our strength as a team. We will go there for a win,” he pointed out.

Meanwhile, manager of Mount Pleasant FA David Galloway is fully aware that his team needs to win the game at home.

“It won’t be an easy task playing against a Dunbeholden team that defeated us 2-1 in the first round. This is a game that we must win in order to stay on course to qualify for the Premier League,” Galloway said.

“We will have to go out there fully focused and fight all the way. We have three games to play and will treat each as a final,” he added.

In the other game on the day, Barbican face Wadadah at Barbican Complex, also starting at 4 p.m.
