Ruption speaks highly of Shenseea

-

Shenseea is known for her upbeat music videos, and this is partly owed to popular director Rogen ‘Ruption’ Walker and his team at RD Studios.

The director is responsible for the concept of Loodi, the track that has been proclaimed to be the production that exposed her to new markets and kick-started a whole different part of her career as a recording artiste.

Ruption has worked on other official music videos for Shenseea, including Jiggle Jiggle, Better Fi Jamaica, Solo, Rock The Floor, Bridgets and Desert (Pon Foot) – a collaboration with Tommy Lee Sparta – Wine featuring Boom Boom, and Pon Mi, which was released last Thursday.

He says there are four unreleased videos to be dropped soon.

“It’s about 12 videos and counting with Shenseea,” Ruption told THE STAR. “However, I think Loodi has been the most memorable thus far. It was the most impactful which launched her career further, so that is why it is my favourite.”

It appears that whenever Shenseea and Ruption bump heads, the end product is usually filled with energetic, colourful visuals.

“Shenseea has a very open mind, so she is usually willing to do whatever is asked of her. Once you keep her cool and feed her, she’s ready to work,” Ruption said.

He says one important thing he has learnt about her as an artiste and creative person is that she is very driven and focused.

“She works very hard with little to no breaks, and there is a lot that THE STAR readers will be happy to learn from or about her,” he said. “What I have learnt from her is that you need six meals per day,

not three.”
