Shac releases perfectly timed album

-

Five years after he made the top five on the popular Magnum King and Queens of Dancehall competition, singer Shac released his sophomore album, ‘Timing is Everything’, on July 1. It was released by One Hundred Degree Records/Rural Area.

Shac explained that the album was inspired by life experiences.

“Well, basically I was just trying to capture the essence of everyday struggles and things happening around us. Just like all my other music. Life itself is my biggest inspiration,” Shac said.

Work on the album began in February, and the artiste said that he ensured the product was up to standard before releasing it to the public.

“I started working on the album in February, and it could have finished much sooner. But I took my time to ensure that everything was up to my standards, just like the title of the album, Timing Is Everything. I wanted to ensure that every song on it made sense and corresponded with the title,” he said.

Tracks on the album include the poignant and message-laced Board House, Overcome, Girl You Make My Day, Roll, Natural, Court Case, Settle Down, Way Out, Party Nice, featuring Rural, and Something Like Magic. Kevin ‘Rural’ Whyte, Ibezz ‘Gunhill Entertainment’ and One Hundred Degree Records are among the producers.

Shac also explained that he has grown tremendously since being in the Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall competition.

“Back in 2013 when I was on Magnum, I was young, just turned 18 at the time, and I really didn’t understand much about the business side of music. The recording process, the work ethics, the dedication, the highs and lows of the whole industry. But now I can proudly say that I have come a long way and have learnt a lot over the years. Now, I know the key elements needed to be successful in the music industry,” Shac said.
