Govana promises high energy in Portland

-

Dancehall artiste Govana says that patrons attending PAN 2018 Regional 1, which will be held at Folly Oval, Portland, on Saturday, August 25, should expect “fire and a high-energy performance” from him.

Govana, a newcomer to the PAN family, will be the major acts at the family event, which will see performances from gospel artiste Kevin Downswell and Elephant Man.

“I am ready to perform, I wish it was tomorrow”, said an excited Govana.

Known for hits including Breeze, One and Move, Bake Bean and his current radio monster, Champ, Govana had nothing but high praises for PAN, which continues to positively impact the lives of pan chicken men and women across the island, especially with support from JN Small Business by way of its business development grant and workshops.

“I’ve seen snippets of past PAN events and the joy on the faces of the winners, and I love what is being done to assist the eventual winners of the competition,” said Govana.

PAN 2018, hosted by CB Foods, is a culinary extravaganza where pan chefs compete in a live 60-minute cook-off.

A winner and runner-up are chosen from each parish to advance to the grand final on October 28 at the National Stadium and vie for the coveted title of PAN 2018 Grand Champion.

Parish winners will each receive $40,000 cash and gifts from sponsors, while the runners-up will receive $20,000 cash, as well as other prizes.
