I am ready for the spotlight – George P

-

Dancehall artiste George P, aka the Ghetto Prezident, says he is ready to take his place in the spotlight.

The talented deejay, who hails from the Grants Pen area of St Andrew, is currently enjoying much attention with his single Real Ghetto President on the Masta Myne Records imprint.

“This song was released two weeks ago, and it’s already generating a huge buzz in the streets. It’s getting a lot of support from DJs all over Jamaica, and it’s also getting rotation abroad,” said George P.

The aspiring entertainer, who lists dancehall icons such as Shabba Ranks, Buju Banton and Bounty Killer as his musical influences, is eager to etch his name in the annals of dancehall music.

George P is also a firm believer in community development.

“Every Friday, we put on a weekly talent show event in our community at 2 Fagan Avenue. A lot of artistes pass through to perform at this event, some even travel from abroad. It’s a good look for the entire community, pure niceness and fun,” said George P.

Meanwhile, George P is booked to perform at Queen Kamarla’s peace concert, which is slated to take place at Papa’s Shop in Tavares Garden, Pain Land, on today.

Also in the works for George P is an upcoming US tour, which is currently being organised by his management team, 4D’s & N Entertainment.
