Elephant Man to bring energy to PAN 2018 Regional 1

-

The electrifying stage antics of dancehall’s self-styled ‘Energy God’ Elephant Man will bring the musical heat to PAN 2018 Regional 1 at Folly Oval, Portland, tomorrow.

The former Scare Dem Crew member, who emerged as one of dancehall’s biggest names, has a long string of hits that will no doubt have patrons in a dancing mood. His hits include Higher Level, Signal Di Plane, Pon Di River, Father Elephant, Log On and Dip Again.

Since its inception in 2005, PAN has been a part of the Jamaican landscape, with entertainment playing a major role in its offering. This year’s staging of PAN 2018 will be no different. Gospel singer and minister Kevin Downswell and dancehall star Govana are the other acts who will grace the stage. Comedians Dufton ‘Duffy’ Shepherd and Miss Kitty will guide the day’s proceedings.

“PAN is always a fun-filled day jammed with great entertainment. We work hard to ensure our stage acts appeal to a wide cross section. And all the artistes we work with always deliver with electrifying sets,” explained Kemoi Burke, business development coordinator at CB Foods.

The diverse entertainment package also includes giveaways, eating and dance competitions, and a mix of comedy. And a popular addition to the day is the Monster Milk Kiddies’ Village, with exciting rides and activities for the children and the young at heart.

PAN 2018, hosted by CB Foods, is a culinary extravaganza where pan chefs compete in a live 60-minute cook-off. A winner and runner-up are chosen from each parish to advance to the grand final on October 28 at the National Stadium and vie for the coveted title of PAN 2018 grand champion.

Parish winners will each receive $40,000 cash and gifts from sponsors, while the runners-up will receive $20,000 cash, as well as other prizes.

Competitors representing the parishes of Kingston and St Andrew, Portland, St Thomas, St Mary, St Ann, Trelawny and St Catherine will square off for pan-chicken supremacy at PAN 2018 Regional 1.
