I need a laptop

-

Dear T.B., You haven’t said anything about schooling. You are only 18 years old, so I would like to begin by encouraging you to attend school. If you are in school, please, do not stop. Don’t allow this thing called l love to prevent you from getting Dear Pastor, I have been reading your column for a very long time. Some of the letters have me saying to myself, why can’t Pastor run these people away? I must say, though, that I learn from reading your column.

I am a 17-year-old girl who is also a young Apostolic. I write to you because I need your help. I’m currently in high school, and I’m sitting CSEC next year.

My family is not rich, but my mother is able to find lunch money for us. I need a laptop, but my mother is not able to buy me one. I was hoping that you and your readers could help by contributing a small amount in helping me to buy a laptop.

D.K. Dear D.K., First of all, I want you to understand that I take every writer seriously. You may think that what some of the things people write are trivial, but I see them as problems that the writers are having, and they need advice.

You say you are 17 years old and are Apostolic, but you need help of a different nature.

The problem I am having with you is that I don’t know you, and I don’t know how to verify whether you are speaking the truth. Perhaps what you need to do is to send me your cellphone number and the number of your pastor, and I will call him and ask him whether really do you have the type of need that you have written about. And then, I will take it from there.

Pastor
