Stylysh comeback on track

- SHEREITA GRIZZLE STAR Writer

Earlier this year, dancehall artiste Stylysh promised to take her music so seriously, that the industry would forget that she had been missing in action for two years. The entertainer had taken a break from the music industry following the birth of her daughter in 2016.

Fresh off a six-week promotional tour in the United States, Stylysh performed at the most recent staging of 100 Live, where she shared the stage with dancehall’s first lady, D’Angel.

“100 Live was a wonderful experience. It allowed me to showcase some of the songs I wouldn’t normally get to perform. I am happy I performed some of those songs because some people only hear about Stylysh, they don’t really know what I can do,” she told THE STAR.

Based on the response of the crowd, Stylysh believes that her comeback is on the right path.

“You could see the people enjoying themselves, especially the ladies. They were cheering me on,” she said.

“I connected with many of them on a level we all hope to connect as a musician. It was a really good experience. I guess me talking about my experiences made me and my performance a lot more relatable, and the crowd showed me a lot of love,” she said.

Meanwhile, Stylysh, speaking about her recent promotional tour, said it gave her a boost.

“It worked out really well, I gained a lot of new fans, and a couple of my songs have been playing at the parties on that side of the world,” she said.

“It’s a good look for Stylysh right now. Me just love the vibe and the strength weh me a get, and me ago continue putting in the work so me can make my fans proud,” she said.
