Reggae-infused ensemble Tennshann Invasion are excited about their maiden EP titled ‘This Is Me’.

The band, which emerged in 2007 out of the 75-year-old iconic western Jamaica institution, the Montego Bay Boys and Girls Club, recently launched their EP at the Coral Cliff in the Second City to thunderous applause.

With the EP’s launch, Tennshann Invasion has officially joined the ranks of reggae revivalists, with three original tracks and two covers on the disc.

“It is a great moment for the band because we have been working hard throughout the years to make this happen,” said internationally renowned saxophonist Mark ‘Ferly’ Gooden, who is the band’s manager.

It was Gooden and late saxophonist David ‘Sleepy’ Cunningham who recognised the immense potential of the band members, who studied an impressive array of musical genres, and brought them together.

Tennshann Invasion is made up of Kemel Amersing as lead vocalist; Hashley Patterson, lead guitarist; Brandon Daley, drummer; Norman Boswell, trumpeter; Yhendi Lewis, saxophonist; Aljerome Green, pianist; Colin Farquharson, keyboardist; and Omeesh James, bass guitarist.
