Caribbean Airlines Cargo accepting relief supplies for Trinidad

Caribbean Airlines Cargo has announced that it is accepting shipments of relief supplies, sent from any of the airline’s North American, Caribbean and South American destinatio­ns, effective immediatel­y and ending at midnight on November 23.

Shipments will attract freight and handling charges specified by Caribbean Airlines Cargo.

In a release yesterday, the airline outlined the packaged items that will be accepted by Caribbean Airlines Cargo as relief supplies.

Among the items are towels, sheets and linens, large plastic storage containers, small kitchen appliances, canned food and openers, adult and baby diapers, personal items (deodorant, lotion,shampoo, feminine products) and school supplies.

The airline also pointed out conditions of shipment for these supplies.

“Shipments must be properly packaged and clearly addressed to a specific recipient in Trinidad & Tobago, including first and last names, street name, house number and district,” the release said.

“Air freight and handling charges must be prepaid by the shipper. All shipments will be subject to customs duties and taxes payable by the recipient upon arrival in Trinidad.”

The release also said that all shipments are subject to space availabili­ty.
