Lutan Fyah burns out ‘fake friends’ in new single

Reggae artiste Lutan Fyah is promoting his new single called Fake Friends. Having had a hectic summer touring schedule where he did gigs across Europe and Africa, the artiste is looking to keep the momentum going with his new track.

He said that he was inspired to do the song because of his own encounters with ‘fake people’.

He explained that as an artiste, many persons have passed through his life who he didn’t know in the real sense of ‘knowing someone’.

“That is when you realise some people you consider a friend is not your friend really,” he said.

“I have been through a lot when it come to plastic people who come around for the pictures or maybe get a chance to fly out while being a part of the team. Most of them or none of them is around now, but real friends are for a lifetime.”

In addition to pushing the ‘anti-fake friends’ agenda, Fyah is also calling for the legalisation of marijuana. He is still pushing Spliff Tail, a song he released earlier this year in which he urged the local government to move quickly with legislation that ‘free up the weed’.

The entertainer is expected to be very busy towards the end of the year as he is booked to perform in Malawi on December 15, then the Mowabisi Beach Reggae Legends Sunsplash show between December 23 and 25 before moving on to Dakar, Senegal.

He will also be one of the headliners at a show dubbed Afro Diaspora in Bakau, Gambia on January 5. He is expected to be joined by Norris Man and Fantan Mojah.
