EARTH WARRIOR

Takes on human trafficking

-

As human trafficking continues to show its ugly head, one reggae artiste has taken on the issue, and is hoping to use his voice to bring more awareness on the matter.

Earth Warrior’s latest single, titled Time To Act, takes an indepth look at the issue.

“I will not be counted among those who failed to stand up for righteousness. The Creator has blessed me with a gift, and I intend to use it to the best of my ability to uplift humanity and make a positive change in the world,” he said.

“Human trafficking is modern-day slavery. It’s affecting men, women and children all over the world. It’s sad and sickening. It’s time for everyone to rise up and bring about an end to this evil scourge. It’s time to take action,” he added. The song, which features veteran reggae singer Winston McAnuff, was released in September. Since then, it has enjoyed strong rotation, both locally and overseas. Meanwhile, Earth Warrior said that he is thrilled with the response that Time To Act has been receiving. “I’m happy to see that the local radio jocks are not afraid to play conscious reggae music. It’s getting a lot of support in the US, Europe, Brazil, Canada and Africa; and the video is doing well, too,” he said. But apart from the positive response the song has been receiving, Earth Warrior said that it would mean more to him if the lyrics started bringing about positive change.
