Cops following leads in KingAlarm guard’s murder

- ANDRÉ WILLIAMS STAR Writer

The police are pursuing all possible leads as they seek to bring to justice the person or persons responsible for the death of a KingAlarm guard who was shot while on duty in Portmore, St Catherine, last Thursday.

The deceased, Lincoln Graham, was shot by armed men after he reportedly challenged a group of armed men who attempted to conduct a robbery.

The incident was captured on video and shows how Graham foiled the crime, but was shot in the head and died on the spot.

There have since been a number of allegations swirling on social media that Graham was killed because he informed on someone.

The St Catherine South police told THE STAR that they have heard the allegations.

Superintendent Leighton Gray told our news team: “The motive is robbery based on what the preliminary reports have indicated. We have heard that (allegations that he informed on someone), but I cannot speak to it at this time as investigations are ongoing.” KingAlarm condemned the attack. “We confirm the tragic and most unfortunate fatal shooting of one of our dedicated security officers ... Preliminary investigations suggest that officer Graham displayed remarkable bravery in the carrying out of his duties, and he sadly paid the ultimate price for his bravery and heroism,” read an excerpt of the statement by John Azar, managing director of KingAlarm.
