Rre excites at New York show

-

With several female artistes coming to the forefront and dominating the dancehall space, Rre is no different being the only female solo artiste to open for the MVP Concert, held at Amazura in Queens, New York, recently.

The songstress performed alongside heavyweights such as Mavado, Alkaline and Jahmiel.

Rre held her own with her background dancers Kimiko and Tara Versatile, and DJ Troopatraloopa on the turntable giving the audience a taste of real Jamaican entertainment.

The Crazy in Love artiste started off her performance with a fan favourite, Rev Out Di RR, followed by a fierce dance number showing her versatility, then back to Nana to get the job done.

Rre brought her dominant yet sultry performance. Dressed by local designer Janice Josephs, Rre sported a blue sequin trendy jacket dress with makeup by SoPrissy Make-up alongside her dancers, who were dressed in blue sequin bodysuits that were elegant and sexy.

“It felt great to be opening for these artistes as the only female solo act, and this is actually my second time. I performed with them in Florida as well and was also well received,” said Rre.

Rre is presently gearing up to announce a new record label signing, which she describes as “massive”, as well as several new singles.

She added, “I am not holding back this Christmas; I have other showcases with Mavado coming up and for 2019, it’s all about new music and a new me.”

Rre is also slated to perform on the all-female line-up at Dovey Magnum’s Bawl Outtt, slated for Friday, December 28, at St Lucia car park in Kingston, alongside artistes like Tifa and Ishawna.
