Dancehall artiste 360Degree is big on self-improvement. The Kingston-born deejay, who is also a professional barber in New York City, recently graduated from Queensborough Community College with an associate degree in mechanical engineering.

“This is a dream come true for me. I’ve always wanted to go to college and get my degree. It took a lot of hard work and dedication. I also had to put my music career on hold, but it was worth it,” said the artiste.

360Degree is currently promoting a hot new single Now, which was done in tandem with his protégé Krusha on the ‘Success’ rhythm.

“Now that I have my degree, I can focus on the music again. I’m also producing music for other artistes as well. Now is the first song that I’ve recorded since 2014, and it’s doing very well. I’m getting a lot of positive feedback about it,” he said.

Now was released on iTunes by Britlake Records last month.

360Degree is busy in the studio working on several new projects. He is also pursuing a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering at New York City College.

The artiste, whose given name is Jerome Davis, grew up in Grassquit Glade in Cockburn Pen before moving to Seaview Gardens in 1993. Four years later, he migrated to New York City.

He launched his recording career in 2007 with a song titled Gun Kill Every Day, which was inspired by the death of one of his brothers.
