George Nooks spawns radio hit with new single

-

Reggae artiste George Nooks is pleased with the feedback for his latest single, ‘Love Light’, from his ‘For You’ album.

“The feedback has been incredible so far, the lover’s rock fans from all over the world, Africa, the UK, France, and the Caribbean, say this is one of the my best remakes ever,” Nooks said.

Love Light, originally recorded by reggae legend Dennis Brown, hit the top spot on the ethnic reggae charts in South Florida and New York last week.

“I did this album in such a way that there is no fast-forward material on it. All the songs are great singles that can stand on their own merit. I wanted to make sure that lover’s rock fans can listen to this song from start to finish. If anything, they must rewind the tracks, no fast forward,” Nooks quipped.

The veteran singer has poured his pent-up passion and emotion into a powerful tour de force of a lover’s rock album. The album comprises 16 tracks, 10 of which are written by Nooks himself.

The artiste believes that the album boasts a unique blend of soul and depth that lover’s rock aficionados will fall in love with.

Original songs include For You, How Long and Chance of a Lifetime.

“This is the first time in 15 years that I have done a lover’s rock album. A lot of time and effort went into this and I am pleased with the response so far as the album start off with a bang, as the songs are getting play on several reggae radio stations and clubs, especially in Europe. Right now, I am looking to finalise some shows in Europe to support the album,” he said.
