Wormbass and Friends postponed for 2019

-

For the first time since its inception, reggae artiste Wormbass will not be staging his reggae concert, Wormbass and Friends.

First hosted in 2016, the artiste has put the event on an indefinite hiatus, citing several conflicts.

“Basically, for the past three years I’ve been hosting Wormbass and Friends, but it still hasn’t reached the place I want it to be, especially regarding sponsorship,” he said. “Everything so far has been done out of pocket. So as a result, I’m going to the drawing board to make this a bigger and even better event.”

While there are setbacks, the artiste does not anticipate that the hiatus will last for very long. The event was originally slated for this month.

“The show was birthed out of the fact that as an artiste/ musician, it was a little difficult to get on certain shows, not just for me but for other artistes as well,” he said.

The 2018 staging, dubbed ‘A Strictly Roots Experience’, provided a positive platform for fellow artistes such as Sabrina Diva, Stephen Newland, Uprising Roots, Tasha Tee and Earth Tremma.

The artiste promised that the next staging would be worth the wait.

In the meantime, Wormbass will be releasing new music in 2019. His next single, which is slated for release this month, is titled
