Remedy becoming a crowd favourite

-

Thrill-seeking patrons streamed into Janga’s Soundbar in Kingston, the venue for Remedy, on Saturday night to enjoy selections from Lantern MD and Third Dimension’s DJ Tyler

Soca favourites from 2019 ushered patrons into early party mode as Xodus again made it presence felt in Jamaican carnival landscape. But while soca built the vibe, it was an impressive dancehall set from DJ Tyler that sent the party into high gear.

“Remedy is certainly a crowd favourite and is an excellent chill vibe. This staging was even larger than the first one we had in November and is testament to the work that we have doing,” said Carlos Phillpotts, director of marketing and public relations at Dream Entertainment.

“As we get closer to Road March, the fêtes will increase in frequency and size as we drive up the anticipation for our band members. As the biggest band in Jamaica, the way we execute our events will certainly reflect that larger-than-life mantra,” Phillpotts added.

The second staging of the event at its current location, Remedy combined the social and entertainment elements that make local band events unique. The next Xodus event is slated for January 2020 at Epican Lounge, Marketplace in St Andrew. For one lucky attendee, the night proved even more special as they are set to receive US$100 off the costume option of their choice.

“Our costumes are going very quickly, all Khaleesi options are sold out,

Storm monokini is sold out as well, and the

Frontline is more than halfway there. Snow and Zen costumes are also going very quickly, so I’m imploring everyone who wants to jump with Xodus to take advantage of our offers and secure your costumes,” Phillpotts said.

Carnival in Jamaica will culminate on Sunday April 19, 2020, with Road

March.
