Deejay pays tribute to football star with ‘Sterling’

-

The talent and skills displayed by Jamaica-born football star Raheem Sterling have not gone unnoticed. The Manchester City and England player is considered one of the best players in the world.

England-based deejay Prince Akeem pays tribute to Sterling on his latest track, aptly titled Sterling.

The remix of the song, produced by Roundz Sickmore, features Stylo G, Chezeeko and Showa Dali.

According to Prince Akeem, saluting the football player was a no brainer.

“I have a friend who knows Sterling personally and he wanted me and him to do a song, so I suggested why not do a song for the baller?” Prince Akeem said. “I met Sterling a few times and we often communicate on social media. He knows about the song and he is a fan of it.”

RESPONSE GREAT

Prince Akeem is pleased with the feedback that the song has received.

“The response so far has been great.

It is a good look, and I believe that I am now being noticed, I think I’m being more noticed now than before,” he said.

He explained how Stylo G got involved with the project.

“My engineer, RB Music, had a link with Stylo G, and we thought that he could help to take the Sterling remix to a whole new level. And that’s exactly what is happening right now,” he said.

Originally from Portmore, St Catherine, Prince Akeem, given name Jobeth Green, migrated to the UK three years ago.

Having settled into the British reggae/dancehall music space, he has done work with a number of producers.

Some of his other songs include Tell Me, Listerine, and La Familia.

Prince Akeem draws inspiration for his music from his children. He aims to make a significant contribution to music, where he can be remembered for years to come.
