Caught my boyfriend cheating

Dear Pastor

I am 26 and I have been with a man for four years. One day I did not feel like going in to work so I decided to surprise him and visit him.

His place was in darkness and his car was in the yard so I knew he was at home. I saw a few guys playing dominoes and they knew me, so when I was passing I hailed and they hailed me back.

Pastor, when I went in, I caught my boyfriend in bed with another girl and both of them were naked. I was stunned. The girl tried to cover herself and my boyfriend told me not to make any noise because it is not what it appeared.

The girl tried to hurry out. She pulled on her dress and her underwear was on the floor. I had to tell her to take it up. The girl was trembling and she was younger than me.

I started to punch my boyfriend and he told me that he never wanted to have sex with the girl; she forced it on him.

I knew he was not talking the truth. I had planned to leave him but I am pregnant for him and I don’t know what to do. Please advise me.

Dear D.A.,

The decision as to whether you should leave him or stay with him is totally up to you. I want to congratulate you for being wise. You did not get into a fight with this young woman. You say she is much younger than you are.

It is likely that it was your boyfriend who took her to his place. So it would be unfair to get into a fight with her, plus she was afraid.

Now that you are pregnant I can only encourage you to have your baby. As to whether this man will continue to play around with the same girl or other women, just concentrate on your life and your pregnancy. Don’t allow this man to stress you out.
