The Star (Jamaica)

Conned by a Jamaican woman

-

Dear Pastor,

I am 25 and I met and fell in love with a Jamaican girl while I was on vacation in Ocho Rios. Although I was booked into a hotel, we spent most of our time travelling around Jamaica.

She is 20 and she told me she had just broken up with her boyfriend and she was lonely. I told her that I had a girlfriend, but I was in Jamaica alone to cool out.

Every day this girl and I had sex. We only drove past her home, because she said that her boyfriend was still checking to find out if she had a man and she did not want him to see us.

Every day we ate jerked pork, jerked chicken and festival. She is a lovely ‘browning’; not that her colour is important to me. When I was leaving Jamaica, she cried.

I gave her all the money I had in Jamaican currency, which was $7,520. I promised that I would send her money regularly. So I sent money for her.

I know she got the money and she would telephone me. But every time she did, she always asked me for more money.

The communication with her ceased because one day she told me that she was pregnant and she had made up with her ex-boyfriend.

I was so upset because I supported this girl for about a year. I can’t reach her on the phone anymore; she has blocked me.

I am hoping that she will see this letter and call me. I do not know if this girl took me for a ride. Do you think this girl has tricked me?

R.E.

Dear R.E.,

This girl has had enough of you and she told you that she is back with her man. So if you were smart you would leave her alone and keep the little money that you have in your pocket, because you are going to need it.

The girl did not take you to her yard. Where she pointed out to you may not even be her yard. It might have been somebody else’s place.

So my suggestion is that you forget this girl and concentrate on your life abroad and build a good relationship with your girlfriend up there. All right, sir, take life easy.

Pastor
