US-based gospel/reggae artiste Bradda Biggs says that with everything 2020 has dished out, the gospel is needed now more than ever.

The 27-year-old entertainer, who is currently promoting his latest single Believe In God, says it is imperative that people anchor themselves in faith and strengthen their belief in the Most High as he is the only one that can truly bring comfort in these dark times.

“It is very important in these times that people listen to the gospel and tune in to gospel music. The songs are not just made for enjoyment, they are made to heal the mind, body and soul, and with the way things are going right now, healing has become necessary,” he said. Bradda Biggs says like many of his colleagues in the entertainment industry, he has been adversely affected by the lockdown caused by COVID-19.

“Financially, it has been a struggle because we can’t get to travel and perform like we used to. But as a gospel/ reggae artiste, I am happy I didn’t limit myself to just performing inside the church, because one of the ways I have been able to help myself out is by voicing dubs for sound systems,” he said. “I am expanding my horizons and that’s one of the areas I have got creative with. I have also been doing a lot of drops and jingles. It’s all about being innovative in these trying times.”

Biggs said he has also been working on a number of singles which he will be releasing over the next few months. “Believe in God has already been released and it has been doing well. It is one of the tracks off the Activation for Service album that I dropped recently and there is a lot more to come,” he said. “I have songs like Clean Up Your Mind and God is Faithful, as well as a remix with a beloved sister of mine from Nigeria called Sounds of Miracles.I have been putting in the work because when we overcome COVID, it’s time to start pushing

again.”
