My daughter giving me heart failure

-

Dear Pastor I am writing this letter with tears in my eyes. I have two children and I have grown them without a father. I am very proud of one of them. She is 20 years old. The other one is 15 years old. She does not have any manners. The more I talk to her about behaving herself, the more she insults me and tells me that I am an old woman. She tells people I can’t tell her what to do because I am not living a life.

Pastor, I have had one boyfriend for the past seven years. This man has helped me with the children because their father doesn’t help at all. I used to ask him for money and if I didn’t agree to have sex with him, he wouldn’t give me any. So I was trying on my own for all these years.

I did not know she started to have sex until one day she left for school and her bed was very untidy, so I decided to make it up. I saw her notebook in which she mentioned how many men have had sex with her and how the first time she had sex, it was so hot. I took away the book to show her big sister, but I changed my mind and put it back.

When she came home, she went straight to her room. I was watching her. She moved the book from where it was. I decided to have a talk with her a few days after about sex and boys, and she told me that if she doesn’t have sex she has to masturbate. She says she knows how to protect herself. I told her she shouldn’t be having sex at all and she reminded me that I got pregnant at 16 years of age and lost the baby. I felt very sad because when I told my children that I got pregnant at the age of 16, I was trying to tell them not to get pregnant so young. She said that she is not going to stop having sex and I should not worry about her.

Pastor, I am so worried. I haven’t told my other daughter what we talked about.

Withheld

Dear Withheld

I can imagine how you feel, but don’t allow what you have seen in your daughter’s notebook to make you ill. Anyone who has sex with an underage girl can be arrested, charged and severely punished. Your daughter, I am sure, is aware of that, but she is going to protect the men with whom she had sex.

It is a shame that your daughter is so out of order and disrespectful. Continue to do your best for your children. Never give up on them. The day will come when the one who is 15 years old will make a turnaround. Do not give up on her.

Pastor
